For this project, we worked closely with our clients to design and build a generous double storey family home on a narrow block, with a strong focus on maximising every square metre. Through thoughtful planning and strategic window placement, the home was designed to feel open, light-filled and spacious, while still allowing room for a backyard and pool.

The Vision
From the outset, the vision for this home was clear: make every square metre count.
Built on a narrow block, our client’s goal was to create a generous, light-filled family home that never felt constrained by its footprint. Maximising natural light was a key priority, alongside creating practical, well-proportioned spaces that supported everyday family living.
Our clients also wanted to ensure the home connected seamlessly to the outdoors, with enough backyard space to accommodate a pool and outdoor play area.
The Build
Designing a double-storey home on a narrow block required careful planning and smart design decisions. The layout was configured to optimise internal space while maintaining strong flow between living zones.
Strategic window placement played a crucial role in the design, allowing natural light to filter throughout the home across both levels. By incorporating the right number of windows and positioning them thoughtfully, the home feels open and airy without sacrificing privacy.
