Project Overview
The Vision
After more than 50 years in their beloved family home, our clients were ready for a change. They wanted a more manageable, single-storey home that could accommodate their future — including wheelchair accessibility.
However, they didn’t want to leave the neighbourhood they loved or the community they’d built over the decades.
The Build
Our team at 101 Residential worked closely with the clients to create a plan that allowed them to demolish and subdivide their existing block, keeping one lot for their new home and selling the other.
This approach enabled them to stay in the same location while building a modern, wheelchair-friendly home perfectly suited to their next chapter.
The new design prioritised features like wide hallways and doorways for wheelchair access, sliding doors, as well as an open-plan payout to allow for easy movement between spaces.
The Result
In February 2025, our clients received the keys to their brand-new home; a modern, comfortable, and fully accessible space that lets them enjoy the same neighbourhood they’ve always loved, without compromise.
