One feature that continues to gain popularity is a bathroom for every bedroom. While four-bedroom, four-bathroom homes were once considered a luxury, they are increasingly becoming a practical choice for families in Perth. With multigenerational living on the rise and more households accommodating adult children or aging parents, privacy and independence have become important considerations when designing a home.
A dedicated bathroom for each bedroom helps create a more comfortable living environment for everyone, making it easier for multiple generations to share a home.
Two Kitchens in One Home
A feature that continues to grow in popularity is the inclusion of a second kitchen.
For many families, particularly within the Asian communities, the kitchen plays a central role in everyday life and entertaining. As a result, clients are increasingly opting for a front-facing show kitchen for guests and entertaining, paired with a separate wet kitchen tucked behind.
It’s a practical design solution that supports different cooking styles, larger family gatherings and cultural traditions while maintaining the open-plan aesthetic many clients love.
More Than the Standard Double Garage
The standard double garage doesn’t suit every household. With larger families and multiple drivers, many clients are opting for oversized garages or additional parking bays. Whether the space is for extra cars, a trailer or workshop area, garage storage is becoming a much bigger consideration during the design stage.
Our DTQ design can be configured as either a four-car garage, a three-car garage with a dedicated workshop area or a two-car garage with some extra storage. For many clients, it’s not just about where the cars go, but creating space for hobbies, projects, storage and the things that support everyday life.
